Poole Harbour’s farmers have a unique opportunity to work together and become leaders in voluntary nutrient management. We believe it starts with us.

We are passionate about creating a different future for our industry and the environment, so we created this scheme – for farmers, by farmers.

Our aims

To provide a farmer-led scheme which is approved by the regulator to collectively reduce nutrient losses from agriculture.
To support and encourage farmers within Poole Harbour catchment to use more nutrient efficient farming practices and reduce the use of nitrates and other nutrients.
To give farmers a choice in how they transition to a different business model by providing the opportunity to receive payments for environmental goods.
To guide and influence the development of farm-level nutrient accounting tools and trading platforms which are appropriate for farms within the catchment.
